The castle boasts a millennial heritage, dating back to the beginning of 1000 AD.
Towards the end of 1600, the Frichignono family, who owned the property until 1883, began transforming the old fortress into an aristocratic residence, gentrifying the building with frescoes, stuccos, and terraced gardens that can still be seen today.
Illustrious past residents of the castle include the surgeon Alessandro Sella (1810-1872) and the lawyer Luigi Borello (1880-1946).
The current owners inhabiting the castle, have been conducting the careful restoration of the entire building over the past few decades.
The cellars are host to the famous wine production of Cento Vigne. |
